Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to us

We value your trust. As a tax and accounting firm, we hold ourselves to a high professional and ethical standard for keeping your information confidential.

What we collect

To prepare returns and provide tax, accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services, we collect personal information from these sources:

  • What you give us in person, by phone, by mail, through our secure upload or client portal, or on intake forms and worksheets. This can include your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, income and investment sources and amounts, and other tax and financial details.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as account balances and payment history.
  • What you send through this website's forms or by email, and our replies.

Who we share it with

We may share information with our affiliates to help serve you. We do not share personal information with unaffiliated third parties without your consent, except as the law permits: for example, to protect against fraud, in response to a subpoena, or with service providers who help us prepare returns and provide services (such as tax software, secure file exchange, payroll and payment processing). Those providers are bound by law and contract to keep it private.

Federal law (Internal Revenue Code section 7216) limits how tax preparers may use or disclose tax return information. We ask for your written consent before any use or disclosure that requires it.

How we protect it

We keep physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. Only staff who need your information to serve you can reach it, and they are bound by confidentiality policies. If our relationship ends, we continue to protect your information under this policy.

This website

  • Messages sent through our forms are emailed to our office and used only to reply to you.
  • The new client form is part of our client management system, where your request is kept so we can follow up.
  • We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help people, for example how many people tap our phone number. It uses cookies and sees pages viewed and links clicked. It never receives anything you type into a form, and we have turned off its advertising features. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
  • The site has no Facebook or other advertising tracking.
  • Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers or tax documents through website forms or regular email. Use our secure upload.

Our pledge

We will protect your personal information, use it appropriately, and carry out our work so as to keep your trust and confidence.
